Addressing Child Malnutrition in Kanpur

In an effort to combat the necessary issue of child malnutrition, Sneh Bharat launched an extensive Malnutrition Survey from November 2024 to January 2025. This vital initiative, part of our broader Child Development program, focused on identifying and assisting malnourished kids under the age of three in Kanpur.

Overview of the Survey

Over the course of 3 months, our dedicated teams worked tirelessly to reach out to communities in slum areas of Kanpur, conducting in-depth assessments to identify kids at risk of or suffering from malnutrition. This survey was organized in pinpointing the specific needs and numbers of kids who required immediate nutritional interventions.

Key Findings

The survey revealed that 500 kids in the area were experiencing malnutrition, impacting their health and growth significantly. These findings underscored the urgent need for targeted nutritional support to improve their health outcomes and future development potential.

Response and Actions Taken

In response to the survey results, Sneh Bharat took immediate action to provide the affected kids with nutritious food solutions prepared to meet their specific dietary needs. This intervention aimed not only to address the immediate health concerns but also to set a foundation for healthier, more sustainable living standards for these kids and their families.
